Navigating to folder tree in MFT Explorer

The tree view appears by default on the left side of the MFT Explorer window. You can toggle it on or off by clicking Folders in the action bar.

1. To view a folder’s contents, click the folder name in the tree view.
   The selected folder’s contents appear in the file view on the right, where you can download files or send them to recipients.
2. Click the plus sign next to a folder name to display its subfolders if available.
   You can then click the subfolder name to view its contents.

Searching for files

You can search for files within MFT Explorer by using the search field.

1. Type your search terms in the search field.
2. Press Enter or click Search. Your search results will appear.

MFT Explorer also supports wildcard searches:

• If you type in *car, it will display anything with car after the phrase.
• If you type in car*, it will display anything with car before the phrase.
• If you type in car, it will display anything that has car in the middle of its name.
